On March 7th, Saturn begins a new transit cycle through the zodiac sign Pisces for the next three years. The "rule book" goes out of the window, into the ethers, and dissolves, leaving space for something new and different to emerge.
Saturn, the planet of vision attained through realism, structure, and order, meets Pisces, an energy that regularly questions the whole notion of 'reality' and seeks to erode boundaries completely. This dance may be tricky to grasp at first. Take your time to get to know the lay of the land that is in development, repair, reconfiguration, and subject to change erratically during this transit.
Saturn's Mystery School

It's the Pisces collectives' turn to enter Saturn's mystery school, personally. When Saturn is utilised effectively during this transit, a depth of understanding and wisdom is gained and embodied. That vivid imagination and connection to multiple inspiration streams is grounded in tangible works that can be accessed and shared with the wider public. Courage, fortitude (physically and spiritually), and determination are cultivated and adapted as and when. The concepts of 'expansion, leveling up, glow up, and growth' isn't measured purely by material gain, but it is accepted and welcomed as a form of elevation.
Saturn energy can help to focus and streamline inspiration with purpose, by encouraging inspired action when a creative wave hits, rather than allowing it to evaporate into thin air. The dream space becomes an information source, which if committed exploration is accepted, offers value to our everyday experience.
Mystical and cosmic energies become pragmatic and applicable. This is a great transit to support the development and commitment to metaphysical practices, the occult, and spirituality. At the same time, certain beliefs may be challenged as part of this process, as well as faith in self and humanity as a whole.
A push/pull dynamic becomes apparent as an urge to establish and consolidate boundaries, borders, and order is met with the dissolving of said boundaries, borders, and order, especially if it conflicts with humanity's rights, empathy, compassion, and freedom to exist and flow.

1. Dance of Chronos and Kairos
Most of us have been conditioned and compliant with linear time frames, Chronos. Chronos means quantitative time and is rooted in the word chronological. We measure Chronos with watches, clocks, and the phases of the moon. The ancient Greeks however had another word for time, kairos. With this Saturn in Pisces transit, we are collectively being initiated into kairos, qualitative time. Sometimes it is referred to as 'divine timing' or mythic time. In Ancient Greek, kairos means the right, critical, or opportune moment.
We experience kairos in those moments when our known understanding of time seems to dissolve. We may "lose track of time" or time stands still. For a moment, we become free from schedules. We are not guided by the clock, instead, we free-flow with a different time/space reality and our actions are guided from a state of deep inner knowing that arises from our core. This is the world of trusting in the signs and synchronicities and taking action with ease. It's less Chronos and more Kairos.
2. Alternate Timelines & Present Power
It is sometimes referred to as 'past life'. During this transit, there will be a developing mass recalling and remembering of alternate timelines. One way this may manifest is through the resurfacing of earlier memories of this present incarnation. Another manifestation will be identifying timelines beyond this current one. Some of these memories may be earthbound, whilst others are not. In both instances, Saturn in Pisces will ask"How can this awareness be utilised in the present moment, in the now?"
People may feel more inclined to share their memories and experiences more openly, remembering timelines from ancient and lost civilizations such as Atlantis and Lemuria (Mu). Especially civilizations connected to water or where water played a central role in its dissolving. If you do find yourself recalling alternative timelines, ask yourself what is being brought forward into your awareness. Is it a healing modality that can be beneficial currently, an alternative perspective, or a wound requiring integration, because, on a subconscious level, it is impacting your current life or is it a hobby/interest? Whatever it is, it serves a purpose and you may be called to delve deeper into the memory to further develop your understanding. On a social scale, artifacts from other periods may be unearthed such as shipwrecks, which allows us to better understand the 'past', lifestyle, and beliefs.
3. Energetic Accountability through Mystical Pragmatism
We move beyond the physical senses and the world of tangible manifestations. They are still present and can be interacted with however, we are schooled in the subtle energetics at play in our everyday life, from the ground up. When elevated, cutting corners is not Saturn's approach. It's more about quality control and sustained mindfulness than quantity. In this instance, Saturn's transit through Pisces will get you to check in and work on the quality of your energetic environment. Through the process of filtering and reworking, we can gain a deeper understanding of how energy and vibration filter down through our lived and tangible experiences. Part of the learning curve will involve taking energetic accountability where it is due and ultimately required to liberate ourselves and others from repeating patterns, cycles, and loops.
In tarot, Saturn is associated with The Devil. Traditionally, a devil-like creature (sometimes referred to as Baphomet) is at the center of the card. Two people stand will chains around their necks that are connected to a black pillar that the devil sits on. At first glance, the individuals appear trapped with no way out. In a physical sense, they are, but this card also alludes to the psychological impact repeated patterns and attachments can take on an individual and actioning their free will. When you look closer, you realise that the chains around the people are loose. They could (in theory) remove the chains themselves and begin the process of detaching. This is where some level of accountability and responsibility is required and called for to understand how something got to a particular point, but most importantly how to free themselves without falling into and dwelling in a hole of self-blame and deprecation, which would put you right back into the devil's grasp.
Saturn in Pisces will ask us to personally and collectively face our shadows head-on no matter their form. It's worth asking, what is shadow work without accountability? We will be asked to check in and work through our core belief systems and smooth out any potholes, which could potentially turn into sinkholes if ignored.

4. Control and Surrender Dynamic
Saturn, the Lord of time is associated with structure, order, frameworks, the very skeleton of society, and most importantly, creating physical tangible containers for energy.
A building is much more than a block of stone. It houses a belief system, an ideology.
Saturn reflects an important process of manifesting something ethereal like an idea, into the physical world where it can be interacted with through the senses. In its shadow, Saturn can direct our attention to an over-attachment to materialism and rigidity that attempts to keep things as they have always been. Oppressive and controlling approaches may be implemented to control multiple variables and the minds and social behaviours of the masses. Pisces consciousness on the other hand is about learning the art of surrender and recognising when letting go is for the highest good and the most beneficial for soul growth.
An example of the control and surrender dynamic can be seen in the Greek myth of Kronos (Saturn in Roman mythology). Kronos (Chronos) was the king of the Titans and ruled during the golden age. He learned through a prophecy, that his son would overthrow him. In an attempt to prevent this natural succession and out of his fear of relinquishing power and dominion, he swallowed each of his children as they were born.
However, his wife Rhea managed to save their youngest son Zeus by hiding him away and instead gave Kronos a stone swaddled in clothes. Zeus grew up and eventually forced Kronos to free his brothers and sisters. This led to a decade-long war between the Olympians and Titans. Eventually (as prophecy stated) the Titans were defeated, and sent to Tartarus and Zeus became ruler of the cosmos.
Even with the dedicated efforts of Kronos, he eventually surrendered to an order of events beyond himself. It reminds us, that sometimes holding onto something can create more pain and conflict than necessary. Yet, it is through exploring this control/surrender dynamic that we can learn what it truly means to let go and when acting on our part is required.
